Committed to the future

We at P. Henkel consider sustainability an obligation that we need to meet towards our environment, our customers, ourselves, and future generations. Our integrated approach permeates all aspects of our products and company alike. We understand that sustainability is more than the mere production of environmentally compatible products; it affects all areas from production to distribution and covers our customers’ requirements for innovative and forward-looking solutions. As a result, we are actively committed to reducing our ecological footprint through the use of high-quality materials, utilisation of sophisticated distribution channels, implementation of internal carbon reduction strategies, and consideration of sustainable and economical use for our customers.

Our 3 pillars of sustainability Process optimisation

Process optimisation

Process optimisation is a continuous and integral part of our corporate culture that enables us to minimise our environmental footprint while improving our products and developing optimal solutions for our customers’ efficiency, handling, quality, and environmental requirements.

Raw material extraction

We at P. Henkel understand the vital effect of sustainable raw material extraction on the environment and our planet’s future. Our containers play a central role in safe and efficient collection, storage, transport, and recycling of various materials and resources. This turns extraction of raw materials into an integral part of our products. We strive to minimise our solutions’ direct environmental impact while contributing to sustainable use and distribution of resources at the same time.

Material cycle

Our containers are designed to make them fit into a closed cycle: Not only do we ensure that they can be used efficiently for an economical and sustainable material cycle, but also that they can be recycled or reused at the end of their life cycle.

Circular economy.
Our containers fit the principles of the circular economy wherever this is possible. We strive to utilise and recycle resources as efficiently as possible for this and help minimise consumption of natural resources and reduce the environmental impact by extending the lives of our containers and recycling them at the end of their life cycles.

External and internal monitoring.
We apply the highest standards in terms of environmental compatibility, efficiency, and legal demand, ensuring compliance in regular external and internal monitoring and evaluation of our processes.

Resource management.
Effective resource management minimises both our and our customers’ costs while positively contributing to our environmental footprint.

We strive for a balance between ecological, economic, and social sustainability across all company levels.

Sustainable energy with P. Henkel

Our FATBOXX®easy is one example of our commitment to sustainability! Produced in a resource-saving manner and with process-optimising properties, the FATBOXX®easy makes storage, transport, as well as optimised extraction and further processing of UCO (Used Cooking Oil) into biofuels both simple and safe. Biofuels serve as a sustainable solution for coping with exploding energy costs and significantly contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This gives them enormous potential for waste disposal companies, consumers, the economy, and the environment. Application- and demand-oriented disposal solutions that consider all aspects of a flourishing economic cycle are required to generate real added value from cooking fats.

When empty, the FATBOXX®easy can be stacked up to 8 containers high with wheels fitted. In addition, 12 containers can be stacked on top of each other on two Euro pallets for cost-efficient transport.

Quantitative billing with precise scaling (optionally with translucent body) offers maximum transparency and safety for all those involved in the disposal cycle.

Advantages
for the end user

The FATBOXX®easy is particularly mobile with its integrated wheels and, with a height of 76 cm, fits under any counter or kitchen unit.

The leak- and odour-proof container for used grease can be opened and closed with a single movement, making it ideal as a solution for application-oriented and hygienic working.

The FATBOXX®easy is suitable for fat at temperatures of up to 110 °C, offering the best possible support for daily work processes, in particular in the catering sector.

Benefits
for the environment

Disposed kitchen fats, oils, and food waste are used to produce various types of bioenergy, such as biodiesel and SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel).

Our containers are produced exclusively in the EU and designed for service lives in excess of 5 years.

The FATBOXX®easy can be granulated fully assembled with all attachments, bringing up the recycling ratio to 100%!
